Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
Must hold at least a Private Pilot certificate.
Must hold at least a second-class medical certificate to exercise the privileges of the Commercial Certificate.
Must receive an endorsement from an instructor certifying that the applicant is prepared for the knowledge test.
Must pass a knowledge test.
Must log at least 250 hours of flight time as a pilot and must meet the aeronautical experience requirements of FAR 61.129.
Must receive an endorsement from an instructor certifying that the applicant is prepared for the practical test.
Must pass a practical flight test with a Designated Flight Examiner.

Privileges & Limitations

May act as pilot in command of an aircraft carrying persons or property for compensation or hire.
