Requirements

Must have a current commercial or airline transport pilot certificate.
Must have an Instrument Rating.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
Must receive an endorsement from an instructor certifying that the applicant is prepared to take the Fundamentals of Instruction (FOI) knowledge test.
Must receive an endorsement from an instructor certifying that the applicant is prepared to take the knowledge test.
Must receive an endorsement from an instructor certifying that the applicant is competent and possesses instructional competency in stalls, spins, and spin recovery.
Must receive an endorsement from an instructor certifying that the applicant is prepared for the practical test.
Must take and pass the required knowledge tests.
Must pass a practical flight test with a Designated Flight Examiner.

Privileges & Limitations

May give training and endorsements for Student Pilots, Pilot Certificates, Flight Instructor Certificates, Ground Instructor Certificates, Aircraft Ratings, Flight Reviews, Practical Tests, and Knowledge Tests.
Limited to a maximum of 8 hours of flight instruction in a 24 hour period.
Can instruct only in category and class for which certificated.
